The Team

The Transaction Services team is highly recognized in the industry for consistently delivering leading edge, high quality solutions for its customers. Our unique talent pool of industry leaders, working together, has led some of the industry’s most transformational products and events.

Scott Martin : Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Scott joined the TRX team in early 2018, and has overall responsibility for the strategic direction and thought leadership for the company. He has seen great success over a long career in a variety of roles, both in payments and related risk management roles. Most recently, Scott led a regional surety team for Hartford Insurance, and was responsible for the eastern division of that organization. Previous roles included leadership positions at Independent Corporate Underwriters, Electronic Payment Exchange, Reliance Surety Company and Dun & Bradstreet.

Scott holds a Masters of Business Administration from Rollins College, and a Bachelors of Business Administration from Shippensburg University.


David Leppek : President

David has over eighteen years of payments technology and sales experience. Early David achieved the honor of Eagle Scout, enlisted in the Army and became an Airborne Ranger before college where he completed three degrees including his MBA.

As an entrepreneur during the early nineteen-nineties, David started a web development and eCommerce software company that launched his career in payments. In the past two decades he has worked in Sales, Engineering and Operational roles with Internet Billing (iBill), InterCept, PayByTouch and most recently ran all Third-Party and ISO management for First National Bank of Omaha Merchant Solutions Division (FNBO/FNMS).

David lives in Omaha, Nebraska with his wife and two daughters.

Mark Scagliuso: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Mark Scagliuso is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of TRX Services and is responsible for all phases of the financial and administrative operations of the Company. Prior to his involvement with TRX, he led his own consulting business, providing all phases of financial and management consulting, business valuations, mergers and acquisitions and forensic accounting services to clients.

Mark also previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating and Financial Officer of OnePath Networks, and Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting and Information Officer of the ANTEC Corporation (now Arris Interactive, LTD). Prior to joining ANTEC, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating and Financial Officer of Keptel, Inc.  He began his career at Ernst & Young,  and worked with a wide range of clients from small start-ups to Fortune 100 Companies providing audit, tax and consulting services.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Accountancy from Rider University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

He lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife Kathy and is active in both local civic and professional organizations.


Michelle Geraci: Vice President – Sales

Michelle has almost 20 years of payment processing experience in a variety of roles with increasing responsibility with each position. She leads the overall sales strategy and agent program for TRX. Prior to joining the TRX team, she served as a relationship manager for Card Systems, PayByTouch, Equity Commerce and Signapay. Earlier in her career, she started the Agent program for Moneris Solutions. Her career started with First Savings Bank in Illinois.

She enjoys being a cycle spin instructor, and lives in Palatine, Illinois with her son and two daughters.


Steve Carrier: Director of Web and Mobile Applications

Steve has over twenty years experience in web design and fifteen years experience in payments technology. Steve graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. After holding positions as an Inventory Manager and Sales Manager for a computer manufacturer, he found his true passion, application development. His early web development career was honed during the nine years he worked at TSYS Acquiring. He has now delved into mobile application development to advance the Transaction Services portfolio.

Steve lives in Chandler, Arizona with his wife and two daughters.


Loren Sorensen: Database Administrator

Loren manages database requirements for the TRX customer portal, as well as other key database aspects of the TRX terminal software. Prior to TRX, Loren held numerous positions with industry-leading brands, including The Home Depot, General Electric, The Weather Channel, Oracle and AT&T.

Loren earned his Bachelor of Arts from Oakland University, and resides in Atlanta, Georgia.


Lou Kovacs: Senior Terminal Developer

Lou manages terminal software development for TRX, and has a long track record of success with POS/PIN pad integrations. He also has an impressive background with EMV certifications and related deployments, along deep experience with Gift Card functionality, EBT, Electronic WIC, Hotel Room Charges and Refund Management Systems.

Lou received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from State University of New York at Geneseo, and lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia.


Tim Zuspan: Terminal Developer

Tim manages terminal software development for TRX, and has a long track record of success in a variety of terminal software and integrated solutions, specifically featuring market-leading Verifone terminals.

Tim received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Health Science.


Thomas Grant: Senior Network Engineer

Tom has over thirteen years of network engineering and sales support in payments technology. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Randolph Macon College, he moved to Delaware where he worked in production, integration, and sales support roles with EPX, InterCept, PayByTouch, and most recently as Director of Integration and Sales Support Engineer at EPX, which was acquired by North American Bancard.

Tom lives in Chester, Virginia with his son.


Diana Collins: Merchant Support Manager

Diana joined Transactions Services in 2013. Prior to joining TRX, Diana was a “second generation” employee at our payment processor TSYS. She concluded her six year tenure at TSYS as a Client Relationship Manager, and has previous experience in their customer service department, as well as their terminal support helpdesk working on various payment systems.

Diana resides in Springfield, Ohio with her husband and three school-age children. She enjoys family time, crafting, and the great outdoors.
